Summary
and Objective
As the
Project Coordinator, you will be expected to plan, monitor, implement, and
close multiple projects within timeline and budget.
Your
Primary Functions
- Provide coordination to projects including, but
not limited to, project planning and implementation, and delegation with
project tasks and data upkeep.
- Prepare, maintain, and file internal
and external project documentation, project plans, and communications.
- Organize
and participate in cross-departmental stakeholder interviews, deliverable
lead meetings around projects and team coordination of tasks.
- Communicate and collaborate
with program leads and Senior Project Manager to provide and maintain information
required to complete project.
- Develop and
maintain a working knowledge of AFA programs.
- Participate
in other duties to assist in the management and general business operations of
the organization as needed.

Required
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or a combination
of college-level course work and training.
· 0-1 years of experience in project management,
operations and/or event coordination.
· Strong working knowledge and
experience in office programs such as word processing and data management
programs, including spreadsheet reports and graphics.
· Above average oral and written
communication skills, including proof reading abilities and abilities to
communicate with external stakeholders.
Preferred
Education and Experience
· Experience with project management
programs such as Microsoft Project is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills necessary
for organizing files and materials, managing correspondence, etc.
Background or experience in youth programs and/or career
development is a plus.
Supervisory
Responsibility
You will have no direct or indirect supervision of other
internal staff but may facilitate the schedules and tasks of staff and
volunteers to the organization.
Work Environment
You will operate primarily in a professional office
environment. If remote, you will work primarily from a home office.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, and subject to
request for reasonable accommodations, you will be required to constantly
operate a computer, and other office machinery as needed. You are expected to
remain in a stationary position most of the day and to exchange information
with internal and external constituents regularly. Occasionally, the employee
may need to move or position equipment or supplies weighing up to 5
pounds.
The ability to transport personal belongings and organizational
promotional materials for travel, with reasonable accommodation, is necessary.
Position Type/Regular
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and regular hours of work
and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will be expected
to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel
Travel is
primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and
overnight travel is expected to staff AFA events throughout the year and on
weekends. Travel is estimated at 10% or less.
