Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and
creative Marketing Specialist to join our team. You will exercise some discretionary and independent
judgment crucial to enhancing our online presence, managing digital content,
and engaging with our community. As an ideal
candidate, you should have a passion for agriculture, strong communication
skills, and a knack for digital marketing.
Your Primary Functions

Website Updates: Regularly update and maintain our website to
ensure current information and user-friendly navigation.
·
Email
Creation: Design, write,
and send engaging email newsletters and campaigns to our subscriber base.
·
Social Engagement: Actively interact with our audience on
social media platforms by responding to comments and messages on our behalf.
·
Mobile
App Management: Oversee
the content and functionality of the AFA mobile app, ensuring it provides value
to users.
·
Graphic
Design: Create visually
appealing graphics for use on the website, social media, and other marketing
materials.
·
MagneticAg Support: Provide support for our Magnetic
e-newsletter initiatives, including budget, invoicing, and the development of
promotional materials.
·
Photo and Video Editing/Sorting: Shoot, edit and organize
photos and videos for use in marketing materials and on social media.
·
AFA Store Management: Manage our online store, including
product listings, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
·
Media Relations Support: Monitor and report
on media coverage and online mentions of AFA to assess the effectiveness of
marketing strategies. Write compelling copy for various marketing materials and
press releases to enhance our visibility and public relations efforts. Help in the
management of media list and distribution of content.

Required Education and Experience
·
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing,
Communications or related field

Excellent working knowledge of social
platforms — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok
·
Experience with Canva,
Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
·
Involvement in or working knowledge of
agriculture and food industry
Supervisory
Responsibility
This position has no direct
or indirect supervision of other staff.
Work Environment
You will operate primarily in a professional office
environment. If remote, you will work primarily from home office.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, and subject
to request for reasonable accommodations, you will be required to constantly
operate a computer, and other office machinery as needed. You will remain in a
stationary position most of the day and exchange information with internal and
external constituents regularly. Occasionally, you may need to move or position
equipment or supplies weighing up to 5 pounds.
Position Type/Regular
Hours of Work
This is a full-time
position, and regular hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position will be
expected to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel
Travel is limited and
primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and
overnight travel associated with AFA programs or required training is
expected.
