Job Summary
Arcstone Financials’ commercial division is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Officer to expand and strengthen our Commercial Loans Division. This role blends commercial loan origination expertise with strategic business development. The Business Development Officer is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing commercial financing opportunities while actively building long-term relationships with investors, developers, business owners, and referral partners. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable analyzing complex transactions and cultivating new market opportunities. This position owns the client experience from initial prospecting through closing, serving as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in each transaction.

Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Proactively identify, source, and develop new commercial lending opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial real estate investors, brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and referral partners.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to increase division production and market presence.
  • Represent Arcstone Financial at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified commercial loan opportunities.

Commercial Loan Origination

  • Structure and originate commercial loans, including but not limited to:Investment property financing
    • Bridge and transitional financing
    • DSCR and cash-flow-based lending
    • Owner-occupied commercial properties
    • Construction and value-add projects
  • Analyze borrower financials, rent rolls, operating statements, and project feasibility.
  • Counsel and pre-qualify borrowers to determine appropriate loan structures.
  • Present financing solutions tailored to borrower objectives and risk profile.
  • Negotiate loan terms within company credit parameters.

Transaction Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison from application through funding.
  • Ensure complete and accurate loan submissions, including required documentation and fees.
  • Monitor loan progress and coordinate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams.
  • Communicate loan status updates clearly and consistently to all stakeholders.
  • Assist in collecting additional documentation as needed to move transactions forward.
  • Ensure post-closing documentation requirements are satisfied when applicable.

  • Strong business development and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to structure creative financing solutions.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to calculate interest, yield, commissions, ratios, percentages, and risk metrics.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through ability.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and production focus.

Experience | Education

  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial lending or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and close commercial loan transactions.
  • Working knowledge of commercial underwriting standards and credit analysis.
  • Understanding of cash flow analysis, DSCR calculations, and risk-based pricing.
  • Strong familiarity with commercial real estate fundamentals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Relevant licensing as required by state and federal regulations.
