Job Summary:
Arcstone Financial is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the loan processing team in managing mortgage applications, coordinating documentation, and facilitating the loan approval process. You will play a crucial role in evaluating mortgage applications, assessing risks and analyzing market trends to support informed decision-making. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will contribute to our success in delivering outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive analysis of mortgage applications, financial statements, credit reports, and supporting documentation to evaluate borrower eligibility and loan viability, utilizing underwriting software and tools.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with mortgage transactions, including fraud, compliance issues, and market fluctuations, while ensuring adherence to lending guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the structuring of mortgage applications from initial submission to final approval, collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, coordinating with the sales team to resolve issues, and preparing loan files for underwriting review.
Update loan tracking systems and databases with relevant information and status updates throughout the loan process, communicating effectively with borrowers to request additional documentation and provide updates on application status.
Support the clearing of loan conditions and facilitate the closing process, coordinating with title companies, attorneys, and other parties involved, while providing administrative support to the loan processing team as needed, including filing, scanning, and organizing paperwork.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of mortgage lending principles, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., TRID, RESPA, Dodd-Frank).
Proficiency of researching and reviewing investor guidelines.
Proficiency in financial analysis, including evaluating income, assets, liabilities, and credit histories.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, financial modeling software, and other analytical tools.
