Job Summary

Arcstone Financials’ wholesale division, AMP Mortgage, seeks a Chief Production Officer (CPO) The CPO is responsible for leading Arcstone Financials’ Third-Party Origination division, including wholesale and correspondent channels (Delegated and Non-Delegated). The CPO will direct all revenue-producing activities within this channel, including sales management, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and operational workflow development.

This position plays a mission-critical role in standing up the entire TPO infrastructure within a 90-day window, requiring a visionary leader who thrives under pressure, moves with urgency, and is committed to operational excellence and profitability. The CPO is accountable for developing and maintaining a profitable P&L, optimizing workflows, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with executive leadership, marketing, operations, compliance, and capital markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all production and slaes efforts for the TPO channel, including wholesale and correspondent (Delegated and Non-Delegated).
  • Lead the build-out of TPO systems, technology integrations, workflows, and procedures within 90 days of hire.
  • Manage P&L for the TPO division and associated branches, ensuring profitability within established company margins. 
  • Recruit, hire, train, and transition TPO sales staff and partners, including brokers and correspondents.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow market share and capture high-quality business.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align brand messaging and generate targeted campaigns for TPO partners.
  • Coordinate with compliance and credit to ensure all loans meet federal, state, agency, and investor requirements.
  • Establish and track SLA performance standards across all sales functions within the TPO channel.
  • Regularly report to executive leadership on TPO performance, risk, profitability, and staffing needs.
  • Serve as the escalation point for broker and correspondent-level issues, pricing disputes, and high-impact client relationships.
  • Lead weekly TPO production meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and implement tactical execution plans.
  • Oversee onboarding and engagement of new TPO partners to ensure high retention and loyalty.
  • Maintain deep familiarity with industry trends, investor appetite, and regulatory changes impacting the TPO channel.
  • Optimize pricing strategies in partnership with capital markets to ensure competitive but profitable margins.

Skills Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, LOS, and mortgage software.
  • Skilled in loan documentation, compliance, underwriting, and AUS.
  • Expertise in conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA, Non-QM loans, and regulations. 
  • Experienced in TPO, broker channels, and mortgage closings. 
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building with brokers and loan teams. 
  • Skilled in pipeline management, ensuring timely submissions and compliance. 
  • Excellent communicator for status updates, tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Detail-oriented in verifying loan documents and coordinating with teams.

Experience | Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in mortgage banking, with direct leadership over TPO (wholesale/correspondent) channels.
  • Proven track record of developing, scaling, and managing a profitable TPO division.
  • Extensive knowledge of agency, Non-QM, and investor guidelines, including correspondent and delegated requirements.
  • Strong command of mortgage technology platforms, including Encompass, Optimal Blue, and CRM tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and meet aggressive business growth timelines.
  • Experience managing branch-level and divisional P&L.
