PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER

Fingercheck is hiring a Product Marketing Manager who can turn complex product power into simple, compelling stories that win small business buyers – and support Sales with the clarity and confidence to close. This is a foundational PMM role. You’ll own/support the messaging, positioning, insights, and launches that drive our GTM engine. You’ll partner directly with Product, Sales, and Enablement to:

  • Shape how the market understands Fingercheck

  • Build product narratives rooted in SMB realities and ICP pain

  • Ensure Sales has the training, tools, and talk tracks to close

  • Support launches across payroll, time tracking, scheduling, Pay On-Demand, hiring, onboarding, integrations, and more

  • Translate customer needs across our core verticals (Construction, Staffing, Field Services, Healthcare, Property/Facility Management)

You’ll report to the CMO and help lay the foundation for this new function. If you want to build, not inherit, this is your opportunity!

SALARY BAND: $120,000 - $150,000 Base

RESPONSIBILITIES

Positioning & Messaging

  • Own and evolve platform positioning across payroll, time tracking, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, benefits admin, Pay On-Demand, and more.

  • Build clear messaging frameworks for key verticals (construction, staffing, field services, healthcare, property management).

  • Turn product complexity into simple, compelling value for SMB owners, admins, and HR/payroll leads

  • Run ongoing customer, market, and competitive research

  • Translate insights into crisp messaging, sales enablement, and roadmap influence.

  • Build persona-specific messaging and objection handling for small business buyers

Product Launches

  • Support GTM for all product releases:  launch strategy, brief creation, narrative, cross-functional alignment, and post-launch measurement.

  • Partner tightly with Product to translate features into business value and industry-specific use cases.

  • Work with Enablement to build sales decks, one-sheets, pitch narratives, competitive positioning, talk tracks, and objection-handling playbooks.

  • Maintain competitive battlecards grounded in real differentiators (automation, unlimited payroll, next-day pay, multi-state payroll same-pay-cycle tax engine, scheduling sophistication, compliance automation).

Campaign & Lifecycle Support

  • Collaborate with demand gen and content teams to execute integrated campaigns, vertical plays, and feature-based initiatives.

  • Jump into hands-on creation when needed (this is an early-stage growth team).

Customer, Partner & Ecosystem Marketing

  • Build customer stories, proof points, use cases, and testimonials.

  • Support partner ecosystem (time clocks, accounting platforms, background checks, benefits, 401k, workers' comp) with co-marketing strategy.

Modern Tools & AI

  • Leverage AI for research synthesis, competitive intelligence, content drafting, and workflow acceleration.

  • Bring modern PMM tooling and experimentation frameworks to Fingercheck.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 5 years of Product Marketing experience at a high-growth SaaS company, ideally serving SMB audiences (Payroll a huge plus!)

  • A customer-first, audience-driven marketing mindset - you think ICP pain first, product features second

  • Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills - portfolio required

  • Proven ability to own end-to-end product launches

  • Experience collaborating with Product, Sales, and Demand Gen teams

  • Comfortable using AI for content, research, and competitive intelligence

  • Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution

  • Background in Sales Enablement or revenue team alignment

  • Experience with partner/ecosystem GTM

  • Familiarity with account-driven GTM or signal-based marketing

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics (GA4 preferred), and related MarTech tools
