Overview: The Sales Programs Manager is a key position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of all customer sales programs, including sales rebate programs, marketing allowances, and corporate initiatives. This role requires a high degree of analytical acumen, margin control expertise, and advanced project management skills. The manager will not only ensure that customer programs align with the company’s profit margin targets but also lead the implementation of systems and process improvements. A background in accounting is highly desirable, as this role involves financial analysis, reporting, and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and policies. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, able to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders while managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Margin Control:

·         Lead the development, execution, and management of all customer sales programs, POD contracts, ensuring alignment with corporate margin goals.

·         Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of customer programs, adjusting program elements to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.

·         Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding the financial performance and adjustments needed to meet margin targets.

Data Accuracy & Financial Oversight:

·         Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of program-related data across all platforms.

·         Oversee the development and implementation of rigorous controls to validate program data, with a focus on financial accuracy and operational transparency.

·         Analyze financial reports and manage the financial oversight of all customer programs, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and mitigating risks associated with program spending.

Process Optimization:

·         Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and automate workflows to improve the execution and management of customer programs across departments.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

·         Act as the primary liaison between finance, sales, pricing, and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment between teams.

·         Provide ongoing insights and updates to senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making.

·         Collaborate closely with customers and sales to ensure program needs are met while safeguarding company interests and ensuring compliance with program terms.

Financial Reporting & Risk Management:

·         Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports to assess program effectiveness, profitability, and alignment with corporate financial objectives.

·         Continuously monitor program spending, and financial compliance, and ensure that programs adhere to budgetary limits.

·         Identify potential risks in program execution and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard against financial discrepancies and operational disruptions.

Training, Compliance, & Documentation:

·         Develop training programs and materials to educate internal teams about program execution, compliance, and the impact on overall business goals.

·         Maintain thorough documentation of program structures, changes, approvals, and audit trails to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

·         Monitor and enforce adherence to both internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to program management and execution.

 

Qualifications:

·         Education:

o    Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

·         Experience:

o    7+ years of experience in customer program management, finance, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading complex programs and cross-functional teams.

o    Extensive experience in margin control, financial analysis, and reporting.

o    Background in accounting or finance is highly preferred, with an understanding of profitability metrics, cost management, and financial controls.

·         Skills:

o    Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on data integrity, program effectiveness, and margin control.

o    Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

o    Proven ability to lead and manage multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines, goals, and budgets are met.

o    Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives.

o    Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.

o    Ability to identify and resolve complex problems, demonstrating critical thinking and negotiation skills.

o    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

o    Skilled in negotiating program terms, resolving conflicts, and influencing decision-making processes.
