Manhattan Comfort is looking for an experienced Accounting Operations Supervisor to help strengthen and organize our accounting department as we continue to grow.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys improving processes, creating structure, and helping a team succeed. You'll work closely with company leadership to streamline accounting operations, develop standard procedures, and ensure our financial processes are accurate, efficient, and scalable.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into an Accounting Manager role as the company continues to expand.

What You'll Do

• Learn our current accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with day-to-day accounting functions and month-end activities.
• Monitor recurring tasks, deadlines, and outstanding items to ensure timely completion.
• Help establish clear responsibilities and backup coverage across the accounting team.
• Improve workflows and implement more efficient accounting processes.
• Train and support team members while encouraging cross-training.
• Work closely with leadership to strengthen accounting policies and internal controls.
• Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to improve communication and workflow between departments.
• Assist with ERP improvements, reporting, and process automation.
• Take on increasing responsibility for the daily management of the accounting department.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Previous experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or similar leadership position.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing an accounting team.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience documenting procedures and improving business processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce is a plus.
