About the Role

Alteva RCM's IDR department is standing up its quality function for the first time. This role is one of two founding QA hires on the team, working alongside a Senior QA Engineer to build test coverage, automation, and process from the ground up.

This is a hybrid manual and automation QA role. You will be expected to manually validate features before release, execute regression testing, document results clearly, and help automate repeatable test cases as the QA function matures. A key goal of this role is to reduce the amount of testing currently being handled by managers and operations leads.

You'll be hands-on across a mix of Salesforce-native tools, AI-assisted workflows, and backend services — all actively in build. The work is a mix of manual testing, test case writing, automation development, and workflow documentation. You won't be handed a process. You'll help build it.

What You'll Do

  • Write and execute test cases for features across the IDR product portfolio

  • Execute smoke, happy path, and regression testing based on release priorities and guidance from the Senior QA Engineer

  • Support and maintain nightly automation run

  • Perform manual and automated testing in Salesforce sandbox and live environments

  • Contribute automation scripts and help maintain the automation framework established by the Senior QA Engineer

  • Support release readiness by executing regression plans and clearly documenting test results, defects, and remaining risks.

  • Document IDR workflows and test coverage in clear, accessible formats

  • Work with ops team leads to understand how the business actually uses the tools you're testing

  • Clearly document test results, open defects, and release risks so product, dev, and ops can make informed decisions

  • Investigate bugs and defects: reproduce, document, and track through to resolution

  • Flag patterns — if the same type of issue keeps appearing, surface it

  • Support regression testing cycles ahead of releases

What We're Looking For

  • 2-4 years in QA with experience in both manual and automated testing

  • Exposure to API testing (REST/SOAP) is a plus

  • Basic SQL skills for data validation

  • Familiar with version control (Git)

  • Salesforce experience required — sandbox and live environment comfort is expected

  • Hands-on experience writing automation scripts (language/framework flexible — we're building from scratch)

  • Solid test case writing skills — clear, thorough, reproducible

  • Comfortable working in .NET-adjacent environments

  • Good communicator — you'll work directly with developers, ops, and product

  • Detail-oriented and consistent: you catch things others missed and you document them well

  • Background in healthcare RCM, medical billing, or IDR is a strong plus

  • Comfortable in ambiguity — this is a build environment, not a maintain environment

Location & Availability

This is a remote role requiring time zone overlap with two teams: our ops team in Israel and our development team in the US (EST). You'll need a few hours of daily overlap with each. Eastern Europe time zones work well for this, though other locations will be considered if the overlap requirement is met.

Why This Role

This is a ground-floor opportunity on a team that's growing fast. You'll have direct exposure to the full product lifecycle, work alongside experienced QA and product leadership, and build skills in AI tool testing — an area most QA engineers haven't touched yet.

The IDR department handles healthcare dispute resolution at scale. Quality work here has real business impact, not just internal metrics.

Tools & Environment

  • Salesforce (core case management system)

  • .NET-based services

  • Azure (in use for AI tooling)

  • Jira (task tracking)

  • Microsoft Teams
