Accounting Specialist

As Fingercheck continues to grow, we want to preserve our people-centric, high-performance culture. As a result, we are looking for a thoughtful, inspiring, and passionate Accounting Specialist, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor. 

As an Accounting Specialist, you will undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and can provide top-notch customer support while simultaneously engaging with our intuitive, all-in-one HR platform and QuickBooks. All-in-all, you would take on the role of customer liaison and ensure that clients build long-lasting, profitable relationships with Fingercheck.

SALARY BAND: $55,000-$60,000 Annually 


Essential Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with processing payments and/or billing-related questions

  • Creating invoices and putting together pertinent billing materials

  • Resolving any billing issues or errors that arise

  • Making outbound collection calls in a fast-paced environment

  • Staying up to par with the goal-oriented ‘Accounts Receivable’ department


  • Deposits accounts receivable payments into the company’s bank account

  •  Assists with monthly status reports, accruals, and monthly closings

  • Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards

  • Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience

  • At least 1 year of accounts receivable/payable experience

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to communicate efficiently and collaborate with team members

  • Detail-oriented

  • HCM/Payroll Experience preferred

  • Result-oriented and data-driven, with a proven ability to set, communicate and meet short and long-term goals
